ScholarshipsScholarships

The Annie Belle Stevens Education Foundation encourages and supports economically disadvantaged minority students who demonstrate a high-potential and determination to complete their post-secondary education. The primary way in which we do that is by providing scholarship to highly deserving college and college-bound students who exhibit the qualities of courage, commitment and persistence.

A total of 4 to 10 annual scholarships, in the amount of $500.00 each will be awarded to those applicants who demonstrate that potential and self-determination and whose continued success is limited only by their need for financial support. The Scholarship recipients must commit to completing five hours of mentoring during their scholarship award year.

GrantsGrants

The Annie Belle Stevens Education Foundation and its supporters recognize that not all students begin from the same starting point: Some have not been motivated to achieve educational excellence, and some must help support their families by working while in school.

Based on the availability of funds and subject to approval by all Board Members, The Annie Belle Stevens Education Fund will award a limited number of Educational Opportunity Grants (not to exceed $200.00) to encourage highly committed college students who are in need of finances to continue their education, but do not meet all academic requirements. This is a one-time award, intended to encourage students to improve their academic performance and to provide essential mentoring.

Mentoring and CounselingMentoring & Counseling

The Annie Belle Stevens Education Foundation mentoring program consists of strong, passionate mentors who have succeeded in a wide spectrum of careers and endeavors, from engineering, to education and the military to mention a few. These mentors eagerly share their experiences, knowledge and expertise with our young scholars to assist in their personal and professional development.

The goal of our mentoring program is to help 80 percent of all scholarship recipients to successfully complete their college education by earning their diploma. All scholarship recipients must complete five hours of mentoring during their scholarship award year. Learn more about volunteer mentoring for the foundation on the helping page.
